Conductor/Music Director

Leslie N. Muncaster, Jr.

Leslie N. Muncaster, Jr. joined the Kingdom of the Sun Concert Band as Music Director and Conductor in 1998. As with many of the band members, he grew up with music. A third generation Salvation Army musician, Les began playing trumpet at the age of six, and continued his pursuit of music as a member of the U.S. Air Force Band for more than 27 years. Les toured with the Air Force Band throughout the United States, Europe and the United Kingdom as conductor, featured vocalist and trumpet soloist. He has performed with artists Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, The Platters, Warren Covington and the Pied Pipers, John Gary, and Pat Paulson, among others. Les' enthusiasm and musical expertise have been an inspiration to Kingdom of the Sun Concert Band members as well as our growing audiences.
